Danforth Music Hall Seating Chart
Patrons are asked to remain in their seats for the duration of the performance, unless absolutely required. If you do need to leave, please do so as quietly and unobtrusively as possible. Seating for patrons with disabilities is available – please contact the venue prior to your visit to ensure your needs are met.
The Danforth Music Hall offers different seating arrangements that can change depending on the performance. The venue is divided into three main sections: the main floor, the mezzanine and the balcony. Each of these provides unique views and experiences.
The main floor
The main floor is the largest section and can be configured in two ways – general admission and standing or reserved seating. For general admission, the entire floor is open, allowing guests to stand and move freely. This is a great choice if you want the crowd experience, especially for more lively performances.Reserved seating events on the main floor provide assigned seats, offering a more structured experience.
The mezzanine
Above the main floor is the mezzanine. It features only reserved seating, offering guests a comfortable and elevated view of the stage. Each seat in the mezzanine is clearly labeled, and guests are required to sit in their designated spots.
The balcony
This is the top level of the venue which also consists of reserved seating. It is a section that provides a more elevated vantage point and is perfect for those who want a broad view of the performance. Each seat is also assigned, meaning that you will need to purchase tickets specifically for this section.
General Standing
Some shows may offer a General Standing area on the main floor. General Standing admission does not follow a structured system – it is general admission. Tickets purchased for seated areas can only be used in those areas, and those with a Mezzanine Seat or Balcony Seat ticket may not view the show from the General Standing section.
Accessibility
For guests who require accessible seating, the Danforth Music Hall ensures that the main entrance is at street level with no stairs, and accessible bathrooms are available on the main floor.
For general admission shows, note that accessible areas are located towards the front of the stage. For seated shows, you should contact the venue to ensure you can navigate to your seat and have a comfortable experience. You should aim to do this ahead of time to ensure that you will get the help that you need to enjoy the show without restrictions.
Decor
The interior of the Danforth Music Hall is designed along the lines of classic Allen venues. Eschewing the heavily bedecked and ornamental style that was common at the time, the theatre was designed to be comfortable and spacious, with a restrained color palette and minimal classical plaster detail.
